Where it's created,
on film.

A film system for Expanso: the people who run data at the largest fleets, found in their own worlds and brought to five free nodes already convinced. The explainer, four films and four stills, made from your own record.

THE FLEET · :30

The record you already have becomes a film system.

Expanso has eight measured deployments, four architecture claims that are properties of the product, a visual builder, an award and a line. Almost none of it is on film. The strategy has four seats, each a format with a place to run, each filled with its first piece the evening it was asked for, and every seat is made for one named reader.

The argument

One film that says why the edge, for the homepage, paid pre-roll and the conference screen. A :60 and a :15 come from the same film.

First piece: The Round Trip.

The proof

One :30 per published case study, set in that deployment's own world with its own measured figures, shipped the week the case study publishes. Eight in the record today.

First piece: The Chaff and The Surface.

The product

The explainer first, the film a software company is asked for by name, then one film per release, all made in code so the interface is the product's own and letter-perfect: the builder, the assistant, the fleet, the YAML. Quick to make, made once for every size, tuned by a number.

First pieces: The Fleet, The Line.

The stills

Every claim, award, partnership and deployment gets one still in one type system, for LinkedIn, display, the newsroom and the conference wall.

First piece: four.

02
THE FLEET · THE EXPLAINER · :30

Designed once. Run on every node. Only the signal leaves.

The explainer, the film the reader needs before the free tier: thirty seconds on how it works, in your own words and your own numbers. A fleet of thirty-two nodes in your naming streams everything to one center. One node opens: a real cabinet at a substation, the agent named. Your route is drawn once, on one canvas, in your builder's own vocabulary, and pushed to the whole fleet on one frame. The noise settles where it was made. A hundred gigabytes become fifteen. The volume grows ten times and the bill stays flat. Five nodes stay lit, free. The fleet's five worlds are your own films, playing inside the cells. Every number and every line on screen is printed on expanso.io, set in your type; the interface is drawn in code and never imagined.

WHERE IT RUNS · the product page, the free tier's first screen, LinkedIn, the docs, the conference screen · MADE AS · motion design with your certified films inside it · SIZES · drawn again from the same file for 9:16 and 1:1, as The Line was

THE FLEET · thirty-two node cells in your naming, five of them your own films playing, every cell streaming amber to one center
THE ROUTE · your builder's six boxes drawn on one canvas, box by box on the beat, over the vehicle in the deep
THE PUSH · every cell's border violet on one frame as the deploy lands, your line under it
THE COUNTER · 100 GB counted down to 15 GB, the label turned from logs to signal, the bar violet
03
THE ROUND TRIP · THE ARGUMENT · :30

Some decisions cannot wait for the cloud.

The argument at the speed of the things that cannot wait. It opens on a sprinter's block, which has its own speaker because sound is too slow to cross a track, and then cuts like the last act of a trailer through four of your own worlds: the car, the stadium, the grid, the deep. In each one the signal arrives and the answer is made on the spot, because the cloud is a round trip away and the attack, the play, the fault and the window are all faster than the trip. The violet impulse is the film's only effect and its editor: every cut lands where it lands, and the last one closes its loop and becomes the mark. The category argument in thirty seconds, at a thousand frames a second, with no screen in it.

WHERE IT RUNS · the homepage, paid pre-roll, the conference screen · CUTS · :60 and :15 from the same film

THE ROUND TRIP · the sprinter's spikes leaving the blocks under the floodlights, the track's granules in the air, the lane's own speaker beside the block
THE ROUND TRIP · the stadium at night with the ball hanging above the far end, one violet line running the whole rim of the bowl, every board dark
THE ROUND TRIP · the arc flashing across the substation's insulators, the violet line already running the wire out of the yard
THE ROUND TRIP · the vehicle breaching the black sea in a crown of water, the violet line firing straight up from its mast into the stars
04

Every film ends at five free nodes.

The reader is a director of engineering, data or AI at a company past a hundred million in revenue, already paying Splunk, Datadog, Snowflake or Databricks to hold the noise, in energy, telecom, industry, manufacturing or vehicles. The films find that reader where they already read, set in their own world with figures from your record, and every one runs with the same door under it: the free tier, five nodes, set up by the reader alone. The sixth node is the conversation. The target: five of those a week, with people who arrive already convinced.

The reader

Named before anything is made: the role, the company, the tools already paid for, the world the data is created in. The films are made for that reader by name, not for a market.

The grid · the cell site · the plant · the factory floor · the road

The films

Four seats: the argument, the proof, the product, the stills, and the explainer leading the product seat. Each film is set in the reader's own world with the figures from your record, so it reads as evidence, not as an advertisement.

Made the same day · every size · yours outright

The route

The films run where the reader already reads: LinkedIn, the search result, the conference screen, the docs, the case page. Each one carries the same door, five free nodes, and the numbers are kept from the door back: who opened a free tier, from which film, and who asked for the sixth node.

The measure · free tiers opened · sixth nodes asked for · conversations a week

05
THE CHAFF · THE PROOF · :30

The noise stays in the field.

A wordless harvest film cut between two worlds at the same golden hour. A combine keeps the chaff in the field and sends only the grain; a substation keeps its readings and sends one thin violet line. It is set in the smart-grid deployment on your own case-study page, where readings deleted after seven days are now kept for five years. One film per deployment, shipped the week its case study publishes.

WHERE IT RUNS · the case page, LinkedIn, the sales deck, the energy sector page

THE CHAFF · the combine from behind in the backlight, the chaff pouring from its rear onto the cut ground
THE CHAFF · the open substation cabinet, the rack's violet indicator lights, the blank steel faces
THE CHAFF · the auger's grain streaming down into the truck's open bed
THE CHAFF · the violet line on the wire curling into the mark at the last pole, dusk behind it
06
THE SURFACE · THE PROOF · :30

It no longer surfaces to think.

One unbroken take. An unmanned vehicle alone in the dark answers a sound inside its own hull, rises once, sends four minutes of signal to the sky as one violet line, and dives. It is set in the maritime deployment on your case-study page, the vehicle that used to have to surface to classify what it heard. The held breath is the film, so it never cuts.

WHERE IT RUNS · the case page, LinkedIn, the sales deck, the defense sector page

THE SURFACE · the vehicle still in its beam at depth, marine snow in the light, the violet ring on its hull
THE SURFACE · three violet rings spreading from the hull through the black water, the answer made inside
THE SURFACE · the hull's back at the night surface under the stars, the violet line standing straight up
THE SURFACE · the violet reflection on the black water gathering into the mark
07
THE LINE · THE PRODUCT · :30

Only control signals cross the line.

This one was not filmed. It was written in code, so every node name, every component, every line of YAML and every figure is the product's own and letter-perfect. The old way streams every node to one center; the reversal draws the whole route on the node instead; the line divides your infrastructure from Expanso; the bill stays flat while the volume grows ten times. A film made this way is quick to make, made once for every size, and tuned by changing a number.

WHERE IT RUNS · the product page, the docs, onboarding, the three marketplace listings

Quick to make

A release note is the brief. Every word in the film is already on your site, so there is nothing to invent and nothing to shoot. This one was written and made twice in the same evening.

Made once, in every size

The film is one file of scenes that know the frame they are drawn in. The tall and the square versions below were not cropped from the wide one; the same file drew them. A new node is a line in a list. A new claim is a new scene.

Tuned by a number

Every word, color, count and speed is a value in that file. A note becomes the next version in minutes, at the same address. The three values under the film below drive the film itself, live.

nodes 120 · pace 1.00× · frame 1280 × 720 · three values in one file, and the film redraws
9:16 · drawn again from the same file, not cropped · tap to play
1:1 · drawn again from the same file, not cropped · tap to play
Not cropped. The wide film was drawn first. Then the same file drew the tall one and the square one, and every scene laid itself out for its frame: the route runs down the tall one, the meter's bars keep their width in the square. Two numbers changed between them, the width and the height.
THE LINE · the fleet's node names fading up on black, the title over them
THE LINE · every node streaming amber to one center at the right, the old way
THE LINE · one node opened, the route drawn in the product's own components, the YAML typing itself
THE LINE · ten amber bars rising to ten times the volume, the violet bill line flat
08

Four stills, one system.

Each still is its own idea with its own line, and the four share one type treatment and one place for the mark, so a feed reads them as a campaign and each one stands alone as a poster. Every claim, award, partnership and deployment from here gets one.

THE NOISE STAYS IN THE FIELD · the cut field at golden hour, the combine far off in its chaff, the truck leaving light
IT NO LONGER SURFACES TO THINK · an engineering drawing of the vehicle in section, the sonar rings drafted around its nose
NOTHING HERE NEEDS TO LEAVE · a hand-sized board bolted inside a weathered cabinet, one violet light, dust in the sun
PROCESS DATA WHERE IT'S CREATED · a cell tower on a ridge at blue hour, one violet light at its cabinet, the valley below
09

Your own deployments, on film.

The eight case studies on expanso.io are the proof seat's whole slate: each becomes a :30 set in its own world with its own measured figures, nothing invented. Two are filmed above. The reader's own worlds film first: the grid is done, the car and the cell site are next, and the factory floor films the week its first case study publishes. Tap a deployment to see the figure its film would carry.

Every figure above is printed on the matching case-study page at expanso.io, as the deployment was documented at the time · the films carry the same figures and no others

10

Your four claims, moving.

The site says it plainly: these are properties of the architecture, not promises on a roadmap. Each of the four becomes a moving diagram, in your violet, for the site and for social. Each one is a few lines in the same file as the product film: a new claim is a new scene, a new color is one value. The four below run live; drag the meter.

Your infrastructure, your data.

Agents run on machines you control. Only control signals cross the line. The data never does.

Per node, not per volume.

No per-GB meter. Your data can grow ten times and the bill doesn't move.

Data volume 1.0× · the bill, unchanged

Actually neutral.

Every destination is a first-class citizen. There is no Expanso platform your data gets steered toward.

We run where others can't.

Unreliable networks, air-gapped sites, constrained hardware. The same agent runs on all of it.

12

A quarter, week by week.

The test first: one world, its film in every size and its still, one month where the reader reads, the read at the end. Then the quarter: the argument and the first proof in week one, a proof film every week after until the eight are done, a product film with each release, a still with each announcement. The review in week thirteen, on numbers you keep: free tiers opened by the named readers and from which film, sixth nodes asked for, conversations a week, and each case page's conversion before and after its film.

13

How it works with us.

The reader is named first. Then you send a brief, or a case study, or a release note, and we answer with frames the same day and films the same day. Every film comes in every size it needs, and everything made is yours outright: the films, the stills, the frames, the files. Every change is a note on this link and becomes a new version at the same address. Your team can open any film here and make its own variations in a room built for it.

The reader, then the brief

The role, the company, the tools already paid for, the world. Then one paragraph, a case study, or a release note. Your words stay your words; we never write in your voice.

The frames

The film is designed as stills first: the world, the moment, the end card. You read them before anything moves.

The films

Each :30 in its seat, with its card made inside the film. The product films are written in code, so the interface is exactly yours.

The sizes and the link

Every size cut with a hand-set frame, or drawn again from the same file when the film is code. Every note on this link becomes the next version at the same address.

This page's own clock. The request came in at ten to seven in the evening. The strategy and the eight worlds were read by ten past seven. The frames were made and read by twenty past seven. The first film landed at half past seven and the fourth at three minutes to eight. The page was live at twenty-five past eight.

Four checks before any Expanso film ships.

  1. Every figure in a film is printed on the matching page at expanso.io, as documented at the time, and no other figure appears.
  2. No screen, dashboard or interface is ever imagined by a film. The product films are written in code from the product's own vocabulary.
  3. The end card is read letter by letter at full size, and the mark exists only where the film puts it.
  4. The story is read from the frames and the sound alone, with the script closed.
14

What we do, on film.

The first question anyone asks us is what exactly we do. Two films answer it: one brief becoming a launch, and one brief launched with creators in every market at once.

SAY THE CHANGE · one note becoming the next version of a launch, in one take
SAY THE CHANGE · the launch as it stood before the note
SAY THE CHANGE · the same launch after the note, the new version
THE GLOBE · one brief launched with creators in every market at once, the spot
THE GLOBE · one creator's take in one market
THE GLOBE · the same brief in another market, the same frame

Built by RitualAds.

RitualAds made the case-study films for Cuebric and Disguise, the culture-first campaign for EarnIn and the trailer that took Baby Monster from a buried script to a bidding war, among others. Three from that record, each film playing here, each card opening its full case study.

Cuebric × Disguise

In · Quinn Halleck teamed up with Cuebric and Disguise to create two case studies in just two days.

Out · Layered 2.7D environments running in Disguise instead of fully built 3D worlds: real-time parallax and camera interaction with minimal setup.

Two case studies in two days.

Open the case study

EarnIn

In · One idea from the brand and its agency WORTHI, retire the word payday, and La La Anthony's own real pictures.

Out · A culture-first campaign with La La playing one role, herself: her past plays as archival because it happened, her present as documentary because it still does; one production partner serving agency and brand.

The campaign carried by La La Anthony's audience of 15.8 million Instagram followers, a #1 New York Times bestselling author with 25 years in culture.

Open the case study

Baby Monster

In · A big-budget family-adventure script, Baby Monster, that had been collecting dust: the magic of Amblin, the wonder of E.T., the scale of Jurassic Park.

Out · A previsualization trailer that gave decision makers something a script cannot.

A bidding war between Netflix and Universal, ending with Universal landing the project with Jeff Robinov's Studio 8 producing.

The ways in.

The film system starts small on purpose and grows to the standing line. Each one is scoped with you, case by case.

The test

One world the reader lives in. The film that already exists for it, in every size, with its still, and the explainer cut for the same reader. One month where that reader reads, with the free tier's door under every one. The read at the end: free tiers opened by the named readers, and from which film. Small enough to decide in one call.

Ninety days

The argument, the eight proofs, a product film per release, a still per announcement, the review in week thirteen on the numbers.

Every month

The standing line: every new case study, release, award and partnership on film the week it lands, in every size. Stop any month.

Three things we would like to know from Expanso. The answers shape what we build first.

Which world firstThe grid is filmed; the car and the cell site are next. The one your reader most needs to see first.
The doorWhere the free tier's sign-up lives, so every film runs with the same door under it and the numbers come back from it.
The namesThe accounts your sales team most wants at the table, so the first films are made for them by name.
17

Process data
where it's created.

RitualAds is the engine behind campaigns and previsualizations for brands from Coca-Cola to Reebok.
